Do you put it together yourself?
Sorry, simply had to say that....
To be fair that's a nice clean design. Funky little trailer as well. Wonder if that's sold separately?
back pedal rear brake ?
With a rear disc and a 3 speed, that would be perfect for around here (Milton Keynes).
Do u take it back to Ikea for a belt change?

Yes, every 50,000 miles... 🙂
lets hope they are better than the Gates ones then
If anyone is thinking of buying, apparently they are £450 full-price and just £349 with an IKEA Family Card.

Wonder if they come with a 25 year guarantee like the kitchens
Comes only in 26 and 28" wheels..
28"?? Another new standard?

It's a 700c rim.
I really like that. A perfect bike for riding to the shops and station, except the lack of built in lights.
How much is IKEA family membership?
they could've called it something really daft - jeffsy, maybe
Cue a raft of new Euro-friendly multiple-of-10 mm standards (like their mattresses, etc.) perhaps? 30mm headsets anyone?
Agreed, perfect for nipping around town or the nursery run.
Ikea family membership is free, you just sign up. And fwiw, things like bed frames and mattresses they do in standard UK sizes if you want.
It does look quite well thought out. 3-speed hub could be 'fun' in the Pennines, mind you...
Edit: how's the bioshift thing meant to work, then?
"Ikea family membership is free, you just sign up"
Ah right, thanks.
Does it come with an allen key?

So by the time you've ridden through kitchens bathrooms beds and the warehouse you'll be halfway to a new belt change already then...
Wonder how they'll get it past the British Standards for the rear brake
Shame, as it'd be a handy thing to take to the shops

Thought you only needed the one?
Racks, trailer etc are all separate there is also a nifty pannier bag that converts to a rucksack, it's a 2 speed automatic rear hub. The frame has a 25 year warranty due in part to the fact it's been double lacquered to ensure durability. I believe British Standards only requires there be a brake on each wheel which this would comply with.
Those rendered pics reminded me of this

(Which is brilliant and should be appreciated!)
Trailer will be £130 apparently. Useful for the supermarket?
Bike £450

P.S. Sladda apperently means 'to skid sideways' in Swedish
I wonder if that trailer will work with other bikes?
I think it looks brilliant; I'd have one for my (short) commute and for jobbing about town, if I didn't already have my Elephant Bike.
Shame it doesn't have integrated lights and a dynamo hub.
