got AC's hubs on Olympics for the xc bike, bearings dont seem to like the wet but they are very light. Switch to my hope pro2 on Flow when im doing a big ride on it (they are usually my DH bike wheels but light enough to chuck on the XC bike!)

Bearings are poo poo on the classic hubs, go with the hopes as there back up is loads better and most shops carry full spares kits in stock.

Got ZTR hubs on Crest rims here. Originally had Advantage eXc 2.25 running tubless on them and they were stupidly light hehe, more than held their own for general trail centre and Peak rides too.
Put High Roller LUST's on for a week in the alps and by the middle of the week they were ready for a rebuild, I know they're not specced for alps style riding but at 10.5 stone kitted up and generally a smooth rider I expected a bit more.
That said the hubs are quality and just keep spinning and spinning.

I've had a pair of American classics for over two years and the bearings are like new. Maybe I'm a one off but they've been great wheels.

Love my 355s on proIIs here. Stiff, light, never had to true or anything. Perfect mix of strength and lightness without breaking the bank, IMO.

i've already got a pair of american classics, the mark 11's; been great, bearings etc. the rims are a bit narrow for 2.25 ardents. gonna put them on my scale hardtail. so looking for a wider rim, the new ac's have a wider rim.
