..... on Snowden?

Going up there today.

Looking forward to it but I am worried. Very worried.

Everything I own is hopelessly outdated and I fear it may lead to serious injury. Maybe even the children will suffer.

26" wheels - surprised I could buy spare tubes
Not tubeless - I know. Archaic.
9sp with a double on the front - so bad I couldn't bring myself to use the modern language of "2x9"
Rigid post - I am bound to fall off endlessly.
Non clutch mech - the noise will wake people in Ireland.
Out of date colours
710mm bars - how will I control it? Who knows. 😉
Transported not in an Audi or VW home made camper - probably never going to get there anyway in my Vauxhall.

We are off to CyB tomorrow too. I hope I can ride after the howls of derision in the car park there. :-/

I will do my best to have fun, but it'll just be misery I know. 😉

It's a bit bumpy up there, so make sure to secure that chip on your shoulder unless you want to lose it.

Why yes they are!

You may be too young to remember Rock Shox RS1's their first ever forks. The decals I have on those Pikes are reproductions of the Rs1 decals in a different colour sized to match the bigger forks.

Much better than the new 2014 decals anyway...

Aaaah I see that some people still don't recognise sarcasm when it slaps them in the face!

Asterix - nice bikes!

I remember riding/carrying my bike up Helvellyn on my 1992 Gt Tequesta, in, errr, 1992. Riding down a big UK mountain is always one of my favourite days out on a bike.

so does putting decals from a old model fork make you forget your bike is actually worth 2 grand and make you feel more of a martyr, maybe you should do it on a unicycle.

I'd happily ride my 2004 Enduro Pro down snowdon. Its equally unfashionable and guess what? Its fine and will continue to be so.

What backpack for said chip?

Should use a camelbak for the said chip ...if you lose the chip you can replace it with the hump 😀

Nice one gordimhor, robdob was praying someone would be along soon with humour to rival his efforts and deflect the glare. Job done 😉

Wasn't trying to be especially funny..... and I achieved that! 😉

I am, however, riding for 2 days and I'm not at work. Woo-HOO!

Snowdon is a long way up for a whole load of low cloud today. Enjoy the view.

I think the weather has made everyone grumpy today. Plus people may be getting a little tired of the ironic look-at-my-oh-so-out-of-date-bike-threads now.

This is my out of date bike. I'm considering doing the CyB Enduro on it in October:

Why not? After a few bites on one of those mushrooms, you'll be flying. 😉

I did ponder this logic when I originally posted, my missus doesn't like them, the original statement still stands true though 😉

Asterix, that's a great picture.

Who knew Dave Brock & Bob Calvert were into cycling?
