I've recieved an offer on both I'm trying to sell from a mate and I am considering it but I feel like I'm doing them an injustice by selling them for so little. Was wondering if you guys could tell me if it's a fair price or if I should hold out for more? Or if my bikes aren't worth what I think they are.
Cove STD, very very good condition.
1.5" Totems, not a mark on them, Hope Motos, Hope floating rotors, Hope Pro 2 hubs, Maxxis Minions 2.5", Fox DHX 5, Nukeproof Titanium spring, saint cranks, xt drivetrain, e13 Lg1+ chain guide, Thomson Elite x4 stem etc. the thing is everything on it is practically new too. £700
You could take it anywhere on earth but I hardly ever use it. My dream is to do where the trail ends stuff on it, flying down mountains!! But there's none round here lol. I do live quite close to aston actually.
And my beloved beautiful Mukluk, £600! ):
Would really appreciate some input from some more knowledgable folks (:
Not a time of year when people tend to have spare cash, not peak riding season either. Yes sounds like a nice bike and £700 seems cheap.
Have you still got the rack on that STD? Take that off and you can probably add on another £100 😉
I have too say that time of the year is against sellers, I looked at the salsa and it xs which limits the range of buyers and some of the components put me off - the bars - daughter looked at it and went no do not like the colour scheme. That said someone will like it but it is down to personal preference.
Cove I guess is in a xs or a small and 26 wheels again that market seems to be dire.
AS a fellow seller good luck.
my guess is its a 26". and as Jambalaya says its not the best time of year to sell but the used bike market is a tough one due to people changing to 650b and 29" and prices for 26" wheeled stuff has hit more or less rock bottom.
i recently sold a 2013 Specialized Stumpy Evo that was practically brand new. only been ridden 5 times of which 4 were on road. it cost 2.5k new but in the end i sold it to my friend for 700. i could have got an extra 200 for it if i sold it elsewhere but i was seeing newer stuff being sold for less than what i had mine up for so 700 seemed like a good price in the end.
its a buyers market out there.

And did you ever finish your fat bike conversion on it? That's got to add value.
Pro tip. Put a cleverly disguised advert in the main forum. Say you don't k ow why it's selling, or ask what it's worth/ how much would somebody pay. Make sure you put the full spec on too so folk know what they are buying.
Oh. Right.
I have a Turner 6 pack, ti spring, avalanche shock tune, Fox 36 vans with avalanche cartridge, king headset, Easton stem, Easton carbon bars, hope v2 brakes, xtr running gear, hope pro 2 evo hoops with flow rims. Simply not going to bother trying to sell it as I can't imagine anyone offering me 4 figures for it. Let along what it's worth to me.

Frame - £200
Forks - £150
Brakes - £120
Wheels - £100
Rest £1-200
I'd say £700 is about right.

Those are some great points! Thank you for the input (: Never really thought about that, maybe it will sell better in the summer? Doubt the value of 26" is going to go up though, at least not for 10 years til it becomes the next new thing haha

hehe took it off years ago 😀 still can't believe I had that on there LOL.

Thank you for the kind wishes, and honesty! (: I've heard a lot about the spec, it's dirt jumper spec on a fatbike really. And haha I totally understand that about the colour, that's the main reason I love it though hehe (: Thinking of just taking 6 for it, no point waiting a months for just an extra hundred quid tbh

Thanks for the advice, I think you're right. That's exactly what the guy at my LBS said. Darn the industry and it's changing standards(!) and what you just mentioned is why I can never buy a new bike unless it's one I'd never want to sell, the depreciation is too much for my heart and wallet to handle! Hope you've got a better bike now?!

Wow you're an unpleasant person aren't you? I honestly don't get what kind of life you must have to actually spend your time on here attempting to "wittily" insult me. I think you're missing the point of life if this is what you spend your spare time doing. I honestly advise seeing a therapist.

Sounds like an amazing bike. I'd just ride it ;D I should probably do the same!

Thanks for the input! Thread has changed my opinion on this, a fair bit, probably will sell the mukluk and try and have some fun on the Cove! (:
