2013 Flare literally just arrived on my desk, So straight out of the box, take the battery out of the plastic, drop it in the light, screw the lens back on - now what?
I think i'm being special - how do you turn it on?
even consulted the instructions and they say just twist the lens - done that and nothing - Arghhh help!
Complete contrast to the Diablo i got this-morning, which even i can use!

I found my front exposure light (Flash I think?) was very particular to different batteries. I have several that look identical sizes but one takes endless fiddling to get it to turn on.
Super light though! Love the always on but strobing mode.
They are great lights, really visible in the day too. I had to send my 2012 Flare back as it would not stay in flash mode, kept going to constant by itself. Going to get another one, and in the meantime using old normal LEDs, they're weak in comparison.
