Off to the Isle of Skye for a week and stopping with friends near Alyth on the way. I have a couple of hours Saturday morning to ride the ebike. Anybody ridden here https://www.alythbikepark.co.uk/ ? I’m considering dunkeld / Pitlochry also but that looks about a 50min drive so a bit further away.
cheers
Never been but I don't think there's much there.
Ballo/Lundie/Hallyburton is 20 mins drive from Alyth

+1 for Ballo, spent a day there last year as a last minute change of location (Dunkeld was forecast for rain all day), easy climb to the top and every trail we rode was top notch, bit of everything. If it wasn't 4 hrs drive I'd have been back but definitely on the cards next time I'm in the area. No idea about Alyth
Definitely Ballo, especially with an ebike.
Where are you staying? Dunkeld is maybe half an hour from Alyth at most.
Cheers for the replies - staying in kirkton glen isla Saturday so going to pop out early Saturday morning. I’ll have a look for ballo - from the map above looks like it’s nice and compact so easy to find the trails ?

Everything easy to find in Trailforks. The steeper stuff on the Ballo side all starts from pretty much the same point, then it’s just a winch back to the top. Be a quick spin on an ebike.
The opposite side of the road at Hallyburton is longer and mellower but a lot more spread out.

With just a morning I’d stick to Ballo side. There’s a small car park on the main Coupar Angus to Dundee road opposite the fishery turn off but I’d use the forestry one down the back road near the bottom of the trails.

Perfect thank you
