I have decided to keep my whyte 29er frame and upgrade over time, would be good to see your builds.

Here is a terrible quality image of mine, I actually built it myself from frame only, it's a fairly middle ground build but it's an awesome bike, It can absolutely fly.

Tactic rims
SLX cranks
1x10
Revs atm as I broke my Fox 34's
Renthal bar
Stealth reverb
Fox Factory Kashima shock
SLX stoppers

Great fun

I was thinking about one of these.. just wondered what weight they were coming in at.. noticed they were bringing out the 130 in carbon..

Lookin' good now with those Easton wheels on Bigbloke! 😉

Cokie off here has my old T-129 SCR, great bike I just found mildly hampered by tyre clearance issues.

Just taken delivery of a Whyte 629 to use primarily as my winter MTB. Putting 120mm forks and a dropper on it mind, should be good as it's flippin' long in the ETT, has a nicely slack HA and very low BB height.

Not actually weighed mine, it's more a full on trail bike for me though so weight wasn't the primary concern/

I'm part way through upgrading a Whyte 529 for use as an all weather bike- XT brakes and drivetrain that came off another bike, Hope Wheels and, still to come, a half decent fork.

My brother has one of these (T129) and like as mentioned above he is having trouble getting a decent winter tyre to fit due to clearance issues. Around here one really needs a protection/snakeskin/exo type tyre but there appears to be almost no choice in any thing smaller than a 2.25 which is really just too big. Has anyone found a good sturdy winter tyre that fits?

I ran a 2.3 Gato which was biggish so surely 2.25 fits?
