Posting same rides as traing colleague and my Garmin always has a greater altitude climbed.
Are they calulated differently and which is more accurate ??

Garmin takes it altitude from barometric pressure and temp, so not accurate, but once downloaded, is accurate due to the application of mapping software. Dunno about iPhone.
