anyone had any joy with good performance/compatability, using other rear mechs in a force set up?

I have force 1x everything but my budget is blown. I can’t find a force long cage mech for less than £155 and no used ones turning up.

Rival is an option but wondered if anything else was worth a look

cheers

Check elsewhere but I'm sure I rear elsewhere that all SRAM Road/MTB 'exact actuation' mechs are interchangeable at least for 10/11 speed...

Someone will be along shortly to tell me I'm wrong won't they?

Edit: Beware "X-Actuation" MTB 11Speed, from what I can tell SRAM Road 10, MTB 10 and Road 11 speed use the same actuation ratio, but newer MTB 11 speed is different... Clear as mud eh...

eBay. There are loads for 80 from Taiwan.

rival ? That’s an option but don’t buy apex, shitty steel cage rusts quickly and is a shit ton more in weight.

Yes, that’s will be me. You’re wrong.

you can use 10 speed road shifters with 11speed mech but that’s about it.

What about 11 speed road shifter and a 10 speed mtb mech?

Pretty sure I ran a gx mech with force shifters once before.... but I want super smooth shifting if I can and not sure that will provide it...

no joy finding force 11 speed long cages for £80 on eBay! I thought I was pretty good on the old eBay too!

I ran an NX mech with Rival 11sp shifters and it worked but not super smooth. It was OK but I replaced it with Rival when the time came

I should say that others have said that combination didn't work for them.

I have force cranks and shifters/brakes but a rival rear mech. 10sp and works fine, if it helps...
