I need to bleed a Shimano Deore 555 brake and I have got no mineral oil to hand, neither do any of the "LBS's". What can I get from auto shops or Halfrauds that will do the job?

I hate to suggest it but what about your local bikehut/halfrauds?

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_525681_langId_-1_categoryId_165608

Edit darn - too late 😉

That'll do it. Time to bite the bullet and go to halfrauds. 🙁

Give them a ring first if its not local unless they have a big bike dept? Their stock varies quite a lot?

Good find selaciosa - I use halfrauds DOT 5.1 for DOT systems 🙂 Pretty cheap as well.

£11.49 isn't that cheap for 1l of LHM, think I paid £6.99 locally last time I bought some.

yup, £6 a litre in my local motor factors. also has the added benefit that i can use it to top up the hydropneumatic suspension in my roller. 😉
