I have suffered a couple of incidents of 'Cyclist's Palsy" over the last year and am regularly getting a dead feeling in my left hand when riding so trying to reduce the vibration in the handlebars in order to alleviate the problem. I have fitted Ergon GA3 grips and these have helped.
Thinking of fitting Spank Vibrocore bars but wondering if there are any alternatives that cost less. I don't want to spend £75 and find out they make no difference.
Any suggestions?

Another (expensive) option is those "suspended" grips you can buy.

Can't remember their name, I'm tempered to try them but I think they are about £100!?😯 xxxxxxxxxx

I have a set of the vibrocores and didn’t notice a significant difference from the alloy renthals I had previously.

Vibrocores don't feel that different. What damper are you running? That makes a much bigger difference.

Imo vibrocores don't feel different, instead you just don't get arm fatigue as quickly. They certainly aren't flexy or cushy.

Has anyone ever tried putting expanding foam in their bars? Might do a similar job

Another option would be to try some 12deg sweep bars. Made more of a difference to my in terms of hand numbness.

I had some vibrocore bars. No discernable difference to renthsl or RF atlas.

Thanks for the link, Shackleton.
Did you have to change your stem to a longer one to take account of the extra sweep?

On One Knuckeball in Chewy have a certain amount of give in them and at £55 are a bit cheaper.
I find they help with my soft joint clavicle.

Vibrocore bars made a big difference in comfort to me. The don't feel any different but I don't get numb hands as much any more.

I bought some vibrocore bars as they were the only ones I could find in the rise I wanted.

After 2 days at bike Park Wales I had no hand pain.

Bars? Better shape for me? Massive 2.6 tyres at low ish pressure? Chromag wax grips?

No idea which it was but I was pretty pleased 🙂

I had them for £50 from start cycles as they were last year's colour

I’ve had tendon issues in both arms for a few years now and did try vibrocore bars they defo do damp out curtain vibrations and reduce fatigue that’s for sure. Operations done last year so I’m just running weak hand grip now.

One other option I did try was the SQlabs 12deg back sweep bars which for me did help open the pinch  point on my wrist!   from forearm to back of the thumb area not sure they would help with numb hand  which kinda sounds like your weight is to forward in my mind and your putting to much weight on your hands but I’m no doctor there.

This defo sounds a weird one to but years ago I would start to get a numb foot/feet while riding cleats etc (hotspots I think it’s called) and within a few minutes my hands would get numb to mostly in the little finger side of my hand🤷‍♂️

Side not Sq lab bars are here if any one wants them no longer needed now I’ve got the bos and can post out where used for about 6/8 rides post op. Back on standard 9deg bars now.

I've tried Vibrocores and they were fine but Syntace Vector carbons are even better. Not cheap though.
