I've clearly missed an update or announcement but was looking to create a few MatesRace challenges to try and get a few folk out on bikes over the next few weeks. Intending to ride on their own but a challenge they were all doing.
Anyway, it doesn't seem to exist now and was wondering what the alternatives are - if any?
Idea if to have a few segments grouped for this challenge and they can be ridden as many times as they want over a set period i.e. 4 weeks...'winner' will be fastest time per segment and then an overall 'winner' across them all.

Create a route with the segments on and share it with your mates.
Chris who created MatesRace was a friend of mine, we met riding together here in Brighton about ten years ago. Tragically last September he died in a kite surfing accident. We're all gutted, he was the nicest guy, always fun to be around, but leaves many great memories.
Oh no, that wasn't the kind of update I was expecting about this...that is terrible news.
Strava can't seem to do this as I'm wanting the challenge to cover off various segments and they can be ridden at any time during the challenge period. It is an attempt to get club members out on bikes and socialising via social media to hopefully engage with them.
However, hearing the sad news about Chris, it kind of stops this conversation...
