Not that keen to spend 40 notes on Shimanos one if another works ok.

Seen reviews that the Lifeline doesn't fit in the recess ok and needs grinding. CBA with all that so want one that just works from the off. Have seen -
Ice toolz one on Ebay, Birzman one and the bottom edge seems chamferred so wonder if that would work ok?

Thoughts, any others about that work ok?

Cheers.

Don't buy the chinese 'alltoo' one as it isn't deep enough and doesn't engage very well - its £15-20 on ebay and aliexpress.

I saw the lifeline reviews too. But ignored them! As couldn’t visually see it appeared much different to the shims one.
It worked fine on my e8000.

Have you found another one that works?

Yes, the BSC tools one - you can get them direct from them or on ebay about £30

I had to grind 1mm off the diameter to fit the EP8 motor but OK on GF's E8000

Not sure but thing I ordered the Icetoolz one for an ep8 on a Rise. I had to stick it in the lathe and take a good mm off to get it to fit.

I’ve just got the BSC tools one but not plucked up the courage to take the E13 arms off yet…

Can confirm the BSC tool fits an EP8 with E13 ring attached! Still not a cheap tool but I need it to drop the motor to feed the new brake hose through.

I bought the Park one in the end. (£37 at the moment - not cheap but a decent chunk of money less than the shimano)

I ended up buying the birzman one from r2bike in the end as it was showing it had a bevelled edge in the picture.
Guess what, it's not 🙄🙈
Not tried it yet on the e7000 so will update when I have.
