Expect lots of ppl to tell you your fussing over nothing:

I haven't followed this up admittedly, as I already have one mount I swapped from my P7 to me XML light.

your fussing over nothing:

I agree 🙂

A few wraps of self-amalgamating tape has mine holding rock steady in all conditions with the 'O' rings

I've got some stick on velcro you can have* that'll stop it moving.

*I'll swap it for two Nates. 😉

For a helmet mount I use the same technique I use for my Exposure Flash as the mount is similar - get a cork cut a flat on it lengthways don't take too much off, then put the cork flat side to the helmet and put the rubber band around the cork and through the helmet and back to the light.

I found that an old Cateye ABS mount will screw on in place of the O ring mount then just fitted the other mount to the bars. Works a treat. No good if you havn't got an old set of Cateye lights though obviously!

dobo, cut a 1cm cross section of inner tube and fold it in half. Mine came with the O-rings missing, so this is what I used. Worked just fine.
