my tourer is fitted with flats bars and bar ends, but my wrists and shoulders are not happy.

i need something with some sweep and rise,  25mm rise, 30 degree would be ideal.

any ideas or offers greatly appreciated.

I'm a huge fan of the Ritchey Kyote - perfect angles and rise for me and enough flex to be comfy on long days.

The forward sweep before they angle back means you keep the same body position as a flat bar, but the wrist angle is more relaxed. No need to change stems.

Paired with a set of Ergon grips they're way better than the Jones bars I was using previously! They since brought out the Buzzard which is similar but has more rise, I haven't tried those.

I still wish On-One would update the Fleegle to ~780mm width and a 31.8/35mm clamp.  If width isn't an issue then tracking down a pair of Fleegle/ Fleegle Pro might work?

In the meantime I'm using Stooge Moto bars on my MTB.

I didn't get on with the properly-alt Geoff's, but I'd be tempted to try them on a commuter with a longer stem at some point.

[edit] just checked out the Ritchey Kyote, that's what I wanted.

Around 2010 I had a set of very adaptable Modolo Dumbo bars which were for a 25.4mm steerer iirc, no idea if newer versions have changed to modern standards.

I'm always changing the bars on my bike packing bike to try to minimise hand numbness over long trips. So far, I've tried normal straight bars, Alpkit Confucious, Ritchey Kyote and PlanetX Geoff amongst others. Currently using a Ritchey Comp Buzzard, which is the same as the Kyote, but with a 70mm rise. Seems good so far.

Also recommend Ergon grips with the wrist pads.

using SQLlab 311s with 16deg bend.  Stupid price but have made my wrists more comfortable so very happy with them

+1 for the Ritchey Kyotes.  I run them with bar-ends installed in the middle (bar-middles?) to make a poor man's Jones bar type thing.

Kyotes on two bikes at home and some sort of surly bar with a similar shape on my tourer here

I've gone from On One Mary to Ogg V2 to Fairdale Archer V3. You are welcome to the Mary's or the Oggs.

I have also changed from Ergon GP1 to GFR1, counterintuitively the narrower diameter is easier on my carpal tunnel and wrist OA.

Ritchey Kyote....no need to change stems.

Depends what bar you're replacing with them. Coming from a superficially similar OG V2, I had to get a shorter stem with a bit more rise. Felt odd at first after many years on OG and Mary bars, with a bit of forearm fatigue, but I like them now. I'd be looking at those Buzzard forks if I was in need of new bars.

Sorry, I meant coming from a "standard" flat bar with minimal sweep. If you're running something like a Jones bar it will definitely be different
