So my wife and I are wanting to spend 2 weeks lift assisted riding in the Alps at the end of July. We’ve been to Les Arcs twice and really enjoyed the mix of natural and man made trails. Many years ago I’ve also been to Verbier separately but would consider most of this too tech and steep for my wife. Looking for resorts that have a big selection of riding that we won’t exhaust in 2 weeks (Les Arcs was amazing for this with a huge lift network). Im quite happy exploring and wouldnt normally hire a guide. What destinations can you recommend?
Sauze d Oulx, Bardonecchia, Montgenevre good for a week. Fast and flows. Very quiet when I went. Stick on a week somewhere else.
We did Tignes last year and also a bit of Les Arcs. We all thought Tignes was absolutely amazing. The free lift pass helped (obv) but other plus points
Excellent Enduro (whatever the hell that means) routes which were interesting, hard in places and much more natural.

We're going back to Tignes this years again but are looking for a second destination as well. Might try La Plagne. (PS, we also did La Thuile and hated that too)

Looking at your 2 week stipulation, that's quite some ask. Are there any resorts you can spend 2 weeks in without a guide?
(In terms of level, I was with the missus and 9/10 year old kids so nothing too gnarly)

Morzine is the easy option. There's all the bike park stuff, and lots of it. A big lift network to access other areas. Marked trails, natural-ish trails plus some bigger rides that are pretty well documented so you can follow them without a guide. It can get busy in the park bits but it's easy to find some peace especially if you pedal a little.
Plenty for a couple of weeks especially if you take a couple of days doing other stuff like white water rafting or via ferata. It's good for mixed ability riders too as you can find different routes to the same place so can do cheeky little extra bits if you fancy.
Davos is very good indeed, lots of mostly natural trails. Flims/laax also has an increasing trail network
+2 for davos , going back again this year will also check out other swiss places !

Molveno is a great spot for trail-focused uplifted riding and well-signed, no guide needed. Some bike park on offer too. Only a few days' worth, but Lake Garda is just down the road...

Plus as its Switzerland, there are local bbq areas to go and cook your own food so you don't get assaulted for a £25-£30 pizza in a restaurant... or eat at the Co-op cafe...
Why not try a few resorts from 1 base? Tignes, Bourg s M, Pila, Les Arcs, St Foy, La Rossiere - all within 45 min of each other!
Stay fully catered at Chalet Chardons in Tignes La Brevieres for £50/night (amazing place 👍 )
or stay in Bourg witb the Funicular to LA, and a short drive to all other options.
Or for somewhere completely different, try Solden in Austria. A bit of bikepark, but all walking trails are rideable too.
Back to Verbier but this time with www.bikeverbier.com Their holidays are amazing, and they split the groups up so everyone gets to ride the kind of trails they like. There's plenty of amazing stuff in and around Verbier - not all steep and techy. You really need guides and vehicles to reach the best stuff though, which is why Bike Verbier rules out there.

EWS round 4 is at Petzen this year. Camp site is booked so will be exploring.
Aosta valley, then La Thuile and Bike Verbier a couple of weeks later will be our summer holidays, loads of great trails for a couple of weeks.
There is enough at alpe d Huez to keep you entertained for 3-4 days including the megavalanche route. If you stay at allemont then there is a free bus up to lift station so you don’t have to drive up the 21 bends
Have a look at serre chevalier, really enjoyed the bike park, and there were several routes we didn't do. Loads of good road riding if you wanted as well.
