Struggling to adjust to normality after another amazing week with Bike Verbier. Trails were stupidly good and crazily varied, including loads of new backcountry rides right up there with the very best of their 'classics'. As always, great guides, great grub and great weather for all but one of the riding days. Really good bunch of guests too. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Roll on next year.

pedaljunky - no worries Dougie and it was great to meet you and the guys. Mark's ribs will take around 6 weeks according to the doc, and the pain will get worse before it gets better, apparently. Anyway, maybe see you in Verbier again next year, or in the Lakes or Scotland before then. Take it easy in the meantime, fella.

lapierrelady - wise move, you'll not be disappointed.

One year I'll make it with them, need to get back into good enoguh shape to ride a whole week, last year agreed with Lucy the group I could have joined where doing far too much pedalling for me. Should get over for a few cheeky days before the end of the season, lifts are running till the end of October.

jambalaya - good luck with that, sure you'll enjoy it. Phil & Lucy are brilliant at dividing their groups according to fitness, skill level and personal tastes, so everyone gets the kind of holiday they want. I'd defo say that the fitter you are the better though, as it means you can access the most out-of-the-way trails, which are sometimes the best IMO. Still, you can't have a bad time with these folk - their operation runs like clockwork and is now deservedly legendary.
