There are some really old forum posts of 10 years or more but anyone had recent experience with this bivvy?
Not worried about lack of insulation, summer use only.
I'm currently 16 stone though and Alpkit don't have a max user weight. Anyone what of similar weight used one without it going pop?!

I have it
I'm a side sleeper and what I find is that my hip will end up between the grooves of the inflated sections and I'll effectively end up sleeping on the ground. End up waking a lot and having to move. I stopped using it and bought a thermarest instead.
If you're a back sleeper then I suspect it'll be fine
Thanks for the reply mate. Yeah, I am a back sleeper luckily.
(Also, no idea why I put bivvy in the title!) 😬
I've got one, a few years ago now, I find it fine for summer or bothying, but I'd want a karrimat or similar under it in cooler weather. Its very packable and weighs next to nothing in the rucksack. But I'm much lighter than your 16 stone so can't help much on that front - sorry.
I’ve one that’s been used for 2 nights sleep. Black. Happy to sell it on

Hopefully not torpedoing the sale above but I have a Numo and the Cloudbase and the cloudbase is much better. It doesnt require as much air to support you and you're less likely to have side sleeping issues as mentioned above.

I've used the Sea To Summit equivalent of the Cloudbase and my experience, as above, is that it's a more effective mat than the Numo, which I've also used. A more even distribution of support if that makes sense. Pretty much any mat which doesn't contain insulation is going to be summer use only. Convection currents within the air chambers quickly leach body heat to cold ground.
Sea to Summit mats have an ace, hook-and-loop pillow attachment system btw. Basically low profile hook stick-on that grabs the fabric of their lightweight pillows and holds them in place. Rarely mentioned, but brilliant in use.

Hi mate, sorry for late reply. Got a reply to an email I sent Alpkit on Friday about weight limit on their Numo an Cloudbsse. They say they don't have a weight limit as such but I've decided to sacrifice some weight and money and go for something my weight isn't going to risk puncturing.
Apologies on messing you about and thanks for the well priced offer!
