Has anyone tried one of these:

I've seen posts about an older version that looks like it's based on a magicshine light but this seems to be a new design but with the same name.

Not used it myself. Looks to be similar, but not the same, as the Halfords lights that were raved about a year or so ago on here. Big thread on it if you can wrangle the search into submission.

Looks a little different from the halfords one that I (and a few others) have. I'm sure it'll be decent, and I've only used three of the 8 modes on the halfords light, so 6 is plenty of options.

60 quid at the mo. I haven't used it in anger off-road, but I reckon it'll be fine. The first thing I did, and I'd do the same for the alpkit one, was swap the mount for the Hope universal one.

I bought the Halfords 1600 lumen last year, haven't used it a huge amount, but very happy with it and its held a full charge all winter (so far) when it hasn't been used. 8 modes a bit OTT, I probably use 3 of them, could be useful if you are running out of power though to make it last a bit longer.
