Had a few of these and like the design - basic drybag with a harness.

Use them for walking, MTB and on top of racks, work, pretty much everything really.

Just wondering if there's now anything better around?

Simple and lightish.
Waterproof.
20-30 litres.
Takes a bladder.
Use the mesh pockets on the Gourdon 20, so would be useful but not essential.

Looked at the Lomo Hi Viz and the Ortlieb Velocity (bit expensive), not sure if either take a bladder.

Any ideas?

Ta in advance.

Exped does some sleeker Gourdon-type packs. Or, if you want something a bit more featured, Mountain Hardwear has a few OutDry packs that have waterproof body, but with a conventional lid, so not submersible, but pretty close - this sort of thing. Not as cheap as Gourdon though.

I've got one of those scrambler 30 packs which I bought as a replacement for a gourdon that I split in half.

much better, robust, well made. nothings got wet yet but it wouldn't stand full immersion as it doesnt have the roll-top lid.

Exped are good if you want something that will pack up small when not in use. They are thinner material than the Alpkit alternative so more suited to occasional use where you want a very light pack rather than day to day use IMO. And the one I had the Cloudburst wouldn't take a bladder, but that wasn't an issue for me.
