You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi all
I'm new to the forum so forgive me if this question has been asked before but I think you may have some pretty good advice between you.
Me and a few recent returners to mountain biking are looking for a weeks holiday in the alps. Nothing too extreme, singletrack, XC and a bit of DH. Basically we'll be on hard tails so 2 foot drop offs are not really our thing! Lifts are essential too.
We're looking to keep costs low so we'll probably drive and camp.
Can anyone suggest a decent town to head to maybe France or Austria?
Not really very keen on fabricated resort towns as I find them a bit lifeless but if you know a god one then we'll give it a go. Really we want somewhere with a bit of life but not too hectic.
Thanks for your advice in advance.
Cheers
Try Vallnord bike park in Andorra. Lots of good trails and ski lift and you also have La Molina park across the border in Spain (gondolas).
Lots of great places in the Pyrenees too.
Andorra and Catalunia are chilled out places and not as pricey as France or the Alpine destinations.
Although personally, living in the Basque country for years and I´ve yet to run out of great trails and places to explore. No gondolas here unfortunately so for uplifts you´d need to book a guide.
