I've got a new hub (son 28), and some unused disc bolts. Gently screwing them all in by hand, they all go in a turn or so but then start to stiffen up. Feels a bit like the threads are wrong. Though I'd equally believe that there is just some fit resistance.
Thought I'd double check on here that they are likely to be OK, before putting more torque into it. Better than risking stripping the new hub.
Unused, do their have thread lock on them?
But yes thread size should be the same. Sometimes your get longer bolts (e.g boost kits) but still the same thread size.
They're all M5, it'll be the blue or white threadlock as above.
I once began to put mine into the drive side on the front wheel, check you're not doing that! You're probably not as stupid as me.
Yep, blob of blue on them. Good point, could well have gummed up, they're probably 10yrs old.
I'm happy go give them a bit more of a twist now I know the threads are likely to be correct. Was just checking there hadn't been a new standard since I fitted the last one, 10yrs ago.

Are the bolt holes open or closed at the inboard end? If closed, make sure your bolts aren't too long and bottoming out....
