Anyone running this? Quite like the look, ive seen hubs for £160, lever £80 for 8 speed...
Did'nt realise it was available yet (runs off to look on madison b2b)
I really fancy giving one a go
You need hub rrp £200,Lever £100 or £250 drop bar, motor unit £100 and battery+charger £120 (not sure but I suspect you'll need to buy a wiring harness for £100 as well).
That starts to add up a bit....
Yep. All of that, the hub must be the di2 hub. It's not possible to alter the standard 11 speed hub with the motor unit (even though this is available as a separate item) something about a return spring in one version and not in the other...
Is the indicator unit optional?
when do they launch mind control? I though the nice thing about the alfine was it had less exposed stuff to go wrong?
Does set-up not require the shimano software?
£200 for the hub?? Try £400, at least that's what I was told for the 11sp anyway.
I'm running an Alfine Di2 mark 2. It basically eliminates the issues with standard Di2. They upgraded to a cable so it won't run out of battery's. Seriously though, I'm all for progress, but a Di2 Alfine!!!!!! What's the point?
SG-S505 Alfine Di2 internal hub gear, 8-speed, 32h, silver srp £199.99
My kung fu (and ctrl C) is strong.
£200 8 Speed
£400 11 speed

Who the **** asked you?......with yer.......FACTS!!!!!!! 👿
Can anyone tell me the point of Alfine Di2?
Why does it need a point?
It's just an option
You're right, why would you want an improved product for your investment.
They should stop the damn seals from leaking before adding electronics.
The price for that switch is crazy - £100 !!!
