Just noticed on my alfine 8, that there is independent movement between the hub and the disk, and a slight lose bearing feel on the rim.
Presumably something is coming lose. Anyone know what I should be looking at tightening?

sounds like the disk lock ring is loose or the splines worn- get it nipped up quick - uses a cassette lock ring tool.
and your rim play sounds like the cones could do with a nip. Id suggest stripping and greasing the cup and cones while your at it.

Would those two issues be related? Both the disk movement, and the rim play, started at the same time.
