Akrigg's worst ever video

I agree (kind of) - and it was still fantastic!

Dull compared to his normal stuff, it was Ok but not great.

I rather liked. Thing is all said and done, it's just his most recent video. It's quite soft, thematic, atmospheric, and he goes all Reggie Perin at the end.

Very good. There'll be another in couple of months.

As above, I now want to go and play on my bike. Bike Video Mission Accomplished.*

Not only did I enjoy it, I'm now seriously considering a fat bike. Job done.

That's the first Akrigg video I've ever watched. Was entertaining.

Except riding across those rocks around the 2min mark - that looked rubbish!

Slashing turns through the dunes does look like a lot of fun.

I liked it. Akrigg just looks so at home on any bike, such a natural.

And looking good on a fat bike is a very, very difficult thing to pull off in my opinion.

About halfway through I was thinking "He's going to have to give that bike a good wash" 8)

Even Akrigg struggled to make a fat bike look fun.

Turned it off after a minute. Boring, just like the time I rode one.

Turned it off after a minute.

It picks up nicely towards the end, after a slow start. Quite a pleasing progression, I thought.

Like 🙂

I much prefer Akrigg's style to Danny McMadSkills, always looks like he's having fun and well, just dicking about on his bike to be honest. Danny can look a bit mechanical at times 🙂

Brill! Riding an ordinary MTB on that kind of terrain is no fun at all. But it works on a FAT and you can still throw it about and have fun, which is the point of this advert.

FAT haters gonna hate

If i harboured any secret desires for a fat bike that killed em right there. If he struggles to make them look any good i certainly cant. The onone fatty does look lovely in the flesh mind

Still impressive. It can't be that easy to throw a Fatbike around

Makes me want to buy a fatbike, drive to the coast near Bordeaux, push up the dune de Pilât (cos there's no way I'd be able to ride up it) and slash my way down it like in an old Warren Miller ski film.

Or at least try to

Music put me off, but I get why/where of fat bikes I suppose.

It does say underneath is "Nice chilled out ride......" the clue is kind of in that statement.

Not full of amazing stunts, sure, but it's good to see something different. Hell, I might even try out a fat bike!

I liked it as it was mostly pedalling. I'm fed up with people hopping onto and off things.

For anybody curious, that was filmed at Merthyr Mawr Warren and Southerndown/Dunraven Bay. You don't even need a fatbike for the beach at Merthyr Mawr- I've ridden all the way along on just a Smorgasbord (admittedly running at ~20psi) 😉

No it's not full of his normal stunt's but for those moaning have you tried to ride tricks on a 33lbs bike with 4" wide wheels.

You can tell the bike was going back to Mongoose the way he parked it in the sea at the end.

I enjoyed it, and would definitely like a fattie. So it worked. But I did feel for all the poor little crabsies and fishies in the rockpools 🙁

I enjoyed it.

Is that the Mongoose that is about $200 or something daft like that in the US?

@mogrim i was there filming for chris and I know it's hard to believe but the rock pools had no life in them, no small creatures, no plants, nothing, just loose stones and pebbles. i just thought thats worth clearing up, carry on

Yay! for the lack of sea creature harm in the making of the video.

Just watched it again. Still like it 🙂

That's actually the first good fat bike video I've ever seen , they do look like fun though and are definately becoming more mainstream . If I could get a $200 mongoose I'd go for It.

S'alright. It's impressive what the fatbike can clearly roll over but I only really got into it when he started hopping about on rocks on terrain where he'd be fine on a normal bike.

I think Akrigg took some inspiration from the above vid , the guy has awesome skills.

Akrigg is - and always will be - one of my favourite riders to watch, but I must admit this is the first of his that doesn't really excite me. The dune riding looked fun but the rest of it was a little dull; not helped by the music which really dragged the footage down.

I didn't want to ride over football-sized rocks on a beach before and I still don't want to now 🙂

Liked it and now it's got me thinking of buying a fat bike instead of a PS4 with my Christmas bonus.
