You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
So my old hardtail currently wears a 2007 vintage Fox Talas 2 fork, 32mm RLC (3 position 100, 120, 140mm). But the airspring seems reluctant to hold the fork up. After some digging, it seems it might be a couple of tiny O rings buried within. Or not.
So I wondered if I could swap out the Talas system for a more modern (non-travel adjustable) airspring? Does anyone have any experience / remember that far back? Cheers!
Not much help probably, but back in 2014 day Mojo replaced the air spring in my 2010 36 Talas with a non-travel adjustable Float spring. They did it very cheaply as Fox had screwed everyone over by discontinuing the service parts for the Talas only after a couple of years I seem to remember. Anyway, it's certainly possible I'd say, just need to locate a suitable float air spring - I would start by asking Mojo.
