hi i've got a new garage and want an air compressor for solving damn hope wheel tubeless issues.

what size, specifications should i go for etc.

Are the 10 litre tanks ok, or should i go for the 24/25L version.
i can see various brands at the £75-80+ range.

i'll use to pump up tyres, fit tubeless tyres and the like. for my bikepool and that off friends.

considering this one at present on ebay/amazon

I've got a 24L one in my workshop, plenty big enough for tubeless fitting.

tbh, I'd look at airshot if it's just for tubeless.

Cheap compressors are incredibly noisy and the limit on air delivery for that initial seating is usually the tube diameter, not reservoir volume.

[edit] I have a 15litre one and have never found the air volume available has stopped a tyre seating.

We got either an Aldi or Lidl one a while ago and it's great for tubeless stuff. It was £70-odd I think but I've got no idea what size it is, sorry, probably around 20-30L or so.

Got a 24l Lidl one.

Very noisy while filling, but worth it for the total absence of tubeless woes since.

And makes light work of paddling pools and other inflatables.

I have the SGS one from the link. The Aldi one my mate has looks to be identical. Yeah it's noisy but it's absolutely got the chops for tubeless. I also use the air gun to dry the chain, etc. Found loads of uses for it since I bought it. Not tried painting anything with it tho..

If you do go for that one, couple of points

- it only comes with one air line, you really need two if you want to have the gun and the tyre inflator. I bought a longer one so I can get it outside the shed without moving the unit

- the tyre inflater is Schrader (assuming you buy the kit with it), two options. I had a knackered track pump that we modified the hose with new fittings so I had both schrader and presa on tap. Or you can get some cheap schrader to presta converters off ebay.

We have one of the Aldi ones mounted on the wall in the garage and one in the camper, both bought in the sale at less than £30. Comes with the tyre air line, guage and fittings for both types of valve

Works wonders on all out tubless tyres, pops them on in seconds

yep got the sg engineering 24L one, a lot of kit for £100 delivered, compared to a £50-60 airshot.

first tubeless worked a treat, now the real test hope wheels :0)
