Can you recommend a small air compressor for using to inflate tubeless tyres? The track pump is a little of a struggle.
Got mine from aldi
I bought one for 100 quid from b and q, works every time.
I'd go with the WOLF kit any time, better motor in than the SIP stuff.
I almost bought one for tubeless tyre set up but tried the 9p compressor idea first and its worked a treat first time and every time
Got mine from Aldi three weeks ago. Mounted on garage wall. Came with tyre inflator £59.99
Genuinely not taking the pee, if it is only for inflating ust tyres ghetto compressor is all you need
+1 for ghetto compressor. Costs next to nothing and very easy to make.
Have found it useful for other things too.
Regularly check car tyres
Air gun is useful for blowing dust and dirt out of components.
Have an air ratchet too.
That may be a problem, you'll end up getting lots other toys too
As above, if it is solely for tubeless inflation then the ghetto compressor works a treat.
I was seriously considering one, but the next set of tyres I got (folding Maxxis; On-One Smorgasbord & Chunky Monkey) went up with the trackpump alone. I had built up the rim cavity with some duct tape and this snugged the bead down. This combined with schraeder valves cut from old tubes worked better than rubber rim strips (they need to have the threaded stem and lock nut like a presta). The bead didn't sit properly due to the lump at the valve on the strips but it can with the separate valve.
That aside, have you tried with the valve core removed?
