I wasn't there, but it seems somebody's had an encounter of some kind.

I have doubts. They crashed but he didn't speak?

Bored climber spinning the truth to occupy his evening?

No I don't know who it was.

I just thought I'd share it on, in case the other party involved reads these forums.

You'd have to be really bored to spin the truth like that to occupy your evening?

You're more likely to find him on Singletrack, which is where the trail centre hamsters go to boast.

😀

That made me smile too, the tribalism is interesting. 🙂

Climber being board and spinning the truth etc...

Surely if they stopped at the end of the section after that behavior you would mention it to him? Rather than bottle it up and go home to bleat about it on the internet? Sounds like that forum is the rambler equivalent of Sidetrack 😉

Shame.
Never met an any aggressive rider's there, but I have had dealings with two angry walkers at whinlatter.
Both tried to tell me I was riding on a footpath. One was correct.
Ashats everywhere sadly.

the lead biker from that group caught me made no effort to warn me he wanted to pass .I moved to one side as quickly as i could but as he was riding to fast and aggressively he crashed into my bike made no effort to avoid the crash never apologized

So. For no good reason he swerved to one side of the trail and probably cut off the poor biker who was trying to make a safe pass?

Climber being board

Wooden't have thought that was the case or did one of them come across as a plank?

😛 (sorry couldn't resist a double pun/spelling pedant combo)

Without being there its impossible to know who is at fault or just one of those things

Talk about making a simple thing like riding your bike complicated 😯

Yup, I'm often found if I come up behind a rider. I say no problem mate, keep your line. Nine times out of ten they immediately swerve off the trail! They seem to think they must give way to the faster rider. Not an issue for me I'd pass or stop, follow or wait until it's cleared. But when they give the trail ahead I do take it. Think some over complicate the issue

I'm so surprised when I catch someone up I just fall off and that increases the gap.

walking pole through the front spokes should sort him out.

Which is what I always carry when riding.

The fact he says its the second time its happened to him makes me think its his fault in some way. If its true at all of course.

Shame he has come across the one idiot amongst the many thousands of decent polite riders if it is true. Hopefully he will realise that and not lose any more sleep over it.

I really dont get why folk rant on the internet when they had the opportunity to speak to the offender face to face.

really?

you can't understand why a faceless rant (or, lie) to strangers on the internet would be preferable to actually speaking to another human who you feel is aggressive and may chin you (or, figment of you imagination)?

really?

Interesting range of character slurs being sent in this person's direction.

Bump in case the other party sees it, and it leads to harmony on the trails again if it's just some kind of misunderstanding...
