I'm after a new pair of forks, thinking Fox 36 talas or Marzocchi 55ATA. Has anybody seen any good deals out there, Merlin were offering a good deal on 08 55's but that's long gone now...
From what I hear (although someone will say otherwise) stay well clear of the 55's. Went for Lyriks myself.
A friend of mine is selling a year old pair of 36 Talas that have just been TFTuned over on the gravity slaves site. He's only after £400 or so. Tell him Matt H sent you.
hmm, thinking I'll probably have to go for new forks as I have a 1.5 stem and the cost for a new headset, stem and possibly bars are going to be £150 easy. Anybody see nice deals on either talas or float 36's with 1.5.
much appreciated!!
IMO Keep well away from 55 ATA's.
Aren't 2009 55s meant to be back to 'zocchi reliabilty of "the good ol days", or at least much improved over the 2007/2008 forks? Production tolerances cranked right down and build quality/reliability improving as a result? Seems they and Windwave are really banging the drum about reliability and aftercare at the moment...
I am sort of loking too and saw these on ebay

Anyone know anything about them? Rutland don't seem to be selling them on their website, just their ebay shop and I cant see any reviews anywhere
