You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Whilst buying maps for later in the year, I picked up the Harvey Map for this. Who's done it? With a bit of fitness and stamina could it be done in a (long, knackering) day? Or must it be bikepacked? Best direction to ride it is east to west? Any info and experience appreciated.
It's on my Shelf of Dreams currently, but with a bit of determination, planning and good fortune I might have a bash at it in the next year (or two).

You can do it in a day. East to West is best. Bear in mind that dumps you onto the A87, a road that many folk are a bit apprehensive about cycling.
Some photos and stuff here...

Ideally pre-book finish line digs near Morvich/ Shiel Bridge; as Scotroutes says, the A87 is not a brilliant road for cycling, although I've been on it a few times on longer road rides. Yes, agree; do-able in a day. Albeit quite a big one..
@scotroutes Looking at your blog post, that gated tunnel? There's an adit marked on the map about a 100M west of Dog Falls just north of the road. Same place? There's also several intakes & surge shafts for the hydroelectric scheme.
@Davesport - yep, it's all part of the hydro scheme.
OP - you can avoid quite a bit of the A87 by taking a forest track above Inverinate, then the Carr Brae road to Dornie and then go through Ardelve.
