Got an Ogre which I love but only 29+ on front. Obviously there's the krampus and ECR both of which have their pros and cons but wondered what else comes to mind that would do the job without breaking the bank like a Jones etc!

thanks in advance

Bill

My Longitude looks like it should fit some pretty massive 29s in there if you run 1x. Pretty sure I've seen some pictures of 29x2.8s in a Longitude, maybe even 3.0 if you're lucky. (I'm on 29x2.35 and you could drive a bus through the gaps.)

I think it's only the new Stooge Speedball that will take 29+, pretty sure the standard frame is 29 x 2.5 max at the back. This is ignoring the titanium 29+ as the OP said "affordable" 🙂

Longitude.  Also because I'd go B+ And I like touring on a longer wheelbase.

The options for 29+ in the lower price brackets (*though Surlys aren't exactly cheap!) are a bit limited aren't they.

However, the Krampus is a great bike. Perfect for hooning around in the woods or putting in some miles. The original lacked enough braze-ons I thought, but the new model seems to have more of them.

You're Exeter based aren't you? Have you had a ride on a Krampus? Be more than happy for you to swing a leg over mine some time.
