Dunno if you made it down there but just got back myself, roads from M4 up are clear, Bwlch road still closed. Car park is clear enough to park in.

From visitor centre to beginning of trail is 6" of slush and bloody hard work. The climb itself is quite clear and more than do-able all the way up to windy point. After that its hit n miss, Energy section is ok until it becomes exposed (after north shore and bridge), Goodwood is not too bad at all and Darkside is clear and a good crack, again until it becomes exposed.

Overall i'd say about 60% ride-able (for me anyway haha), hope this helps anyone thinking of going down for a ride.

Not tried Skyline recently but given that most of the exposed sections of Whites were quite bad i'd assume the same with Skyline. Saying that there's been a decent thaw today so it might be ok in a slushy kind of way.

Might be worth giving the shop a ring in the morning, they're always happy to help.

Been over today and did a few parts before heading up to the mast fir a very long climb and very wet slippery muddy descent. Trails are a combination of wet slush, few ice patches (mostly on fire road climbs) and mud, lots of slippery mud. It's raining at present, a rather hazy drizzle and has been since mid morning, so if it keeps raining, I expect it to stay muddy/slushy. That said was great fun today, only downer being it's taken me an hour to clean the bike, and I've a rear wheel that now needs some attention/truing.

yep, some fireroads are icy as hell, particularly at the start of the Skyline diversion (bit of a pain that one as it goes on for a bit and is basically 90% walk) and the W2 link. As tollah says, the singletrack is fine. Shouldn't stop you having a nice cheese board and some chorizo at the trailside though. Nice to meet you btw tollah 🙂

@ Ron Jeremy.
Don't think my bike has ever been so muddy 🙂
And sorry your virgin ride down the masts was as muddy and slippery as it was it really flows in the dry 🙂
