Hi. I have a Hightower LT which has the Fox DPX2 shock on the back but I have just purchased an X2 to replace it.

Will I need new hardware to fit the shock or will the kit which is on the DPX2 be OK?

If I do need new hardware does anyone know the sizes or how to check?

The old kit should fit, but you may damage the plastic bushes when removing them (i've round prying them a little at a time with a Stanley knife blade quite effective). If you need to order new parts, you'll need to specify overall width of the centre sleeve (measured to within 0.2mm with a vernier caliper, and possibly different at each end of the shock), and the diameter of it's bore, usually 6 or 8mm.

If it helps, I have a hightower LT and replaced the shock (although it was with a DVO Jade), the bushings I bought were 22x8 front and rear, can't remember 100% but I'm about 90% sure its tjat. Bought some in that size for my nomad when I had that (was a 15 model).

New X2s would normally come with bushes fitted, so you should be fine.

I got some offset bushings from offset bushings .com. You can get standard bushings from them as well as from tf tuned etc.

Benpinnick - New shocks don't tend to, if you go on TF tuned and look at shocks it normally states they sell springs and mounting hardware separate.
