Do you need to renew the olive and any other brass fittings when you change the brake hose? Do I need any special tools?
Going to buy the Clarkes brake hose off crc as you can just buy it by the meter but it doesn't come with fittings.

The olive's a compression fitting so should be replaced. You can sometimes reuse them but that doesn't mean it's a good idea (though, has not stopped me in the past)

The barb's reusable but can be a pain to get out.

The olive and barb costs about 2 quid. Not worth reusing them IMO

Yep, only excuse for it is that you've just lost the new one halfway through refitting the brakes. Not that I'd ever do such a damn fool thing. No.
