All this maybe an SFQ( if you don't know what SFQ stands for don't ask) but here goes .... Looking to upgrade wheels on a second hand felt which has stock cxr3 wheels which are notchy and need attention .BIke came with Spyre mech brakes. Spotted a pr of unused mavic Aksium with with shimano centre locks rotors for sale on BR.
Are there likely to be compatibility issues???If the rotors are the same size surely it's case of pop on the new wheels and hey presto
Thanks

Assuming this is a road bike with 700c wheels, then the rotors are probably either 140mm or 160mm. In which case, you'll be OK in terms of rotor diameter. You'll just need to realign the calipers.

Incompatibility of rotor sizes tends to be a problem at the 180mm end of things, as you can buy 180mm, 183mm and 185mm, depending on the manufacturer. So sounds like you're OK.

P.S. centre-lock is great !

You may have to adjust the calipers slightly as in my experience various manufacturers wheels sometimes have very slightly different spacings-probably just a tolerance thing.

you can generally mix and match and theoretically centre lock and 6 hole discs sit in the same place

Minor adjustment of caliper is likely though

Hope used to do disc rotor shims for 6 bolt discs but I've never seen shims for centerlock.
