Got a carbon seat post that i need to trim down due cable routing point being too far up inside the seat tube and am looking for some advice on how best to go about it?

Got my own ideas of using masking tape and fine blade in a hacksaw?!

Suggestions please???

You probably should wear a mask...but I've used to cut up old carbon fibre false legs in my loft when I was a kid to make stuff so I am probably stuffed.

tbh we cut it wet these days to eliminate dust so just a fine saw and a bit of water.

Park tool do a neat saw guide for such a job. Or better still your LBS should be able to do it for a meager charge.
