Hi everyone,
this summer I will be spending some time in Chatel. So for sure, I will be spending time in the bike park, which I know pretty well - I’ve been there several times.
however, I really liked the videos of the trails above Super Chatel lift from the Enduro World Cup last summer. So I intend to also take the Super Chatel gondola, then then the Morclan chair lift. I intend to use various walking maps etc to try to find the trails.
Has anyone ridden there, and have any advice? There look to be a couple of lovely ridge runs available with some climbing.

In that Col above, a riding pal got a puncture. OMG the Clegs! It was like a horror movie. They were swarming all over us. Seriously, 2 peple trying to fight them off with mini-pumps used as batons, and the other 2 trying to quickly change a tube. In the end he did the Capt. Oates and urged us to save ourselves. When he made it back to the Chalet it was not pretty.
In that second photo all looks lovely. The next photo I took, 5 mins later is the two of us huddled back in the lift station as a huge thunderstorm hit.
Always pack a jacket.
That second photo is exactly where I hope to arrive. I’m asking myself if the climb up to the point on the right hand side is worth it for the descent around the hill though the trees on that ridge line?). Alternatively, I believe the Enduro race went down the all alpage between the camera and that peak.
