Ok guys I'm going to convert both my bikes to 1x10.
If there are any tip of the cheapest/easiest way to do it that would be great.

Cannondale prophet:
currently: 2x9 with bash and roller.
Plan: Reuse crank arms, new 10spd shifter, new 10spd 34t Narrow wide, new chain, new cassette, clutch mech.
Question: Chain device? reuse roller? full chain device from PA?

Dialled PA:
currently: 1x9 with full chain device.
Plan: Reuse crank arms, new 10spd shifter, 34t Narrow wide, new chain, new cassette, clutch mech.
Question: Chain device? Have I missed anything?

Any deals on 10spd at moment? German sites?

You been looking for 1x10 and a 11-36 with a narrow/wide and a clutch mech then? Seen any bargains on your travels?

Bike-discount generally, especially for the slx shifters. If you are going to get a narrow-wide and a clutch you should at least try with no guide on both bikes imo.

This. Not dropped a chain yet personally. Unless the prophet is used as a mini DH in which case you may want a guide for the added security, but I'd suck it and see before shelling out as sorts of defeats the point of clutch & NW.

Bike-discount generally,
Just priced up full slx on B-D.com comes out at £167 for both bikes plus the chain rings. Probably go for works components ones. So £240 ish for both bikes sounds like a go to me.

If you already have 9 speed SRAM shifters and plan to use a 10 speed Shimano mech then you can still keep your shifters by adding a spacer.Lots of info on other threads to show how it's done. This is what I'll do when I change from 1x9 to 1x10 to keep costs down.

What narrow-wide is on sale at bike-discount? I've been looking (as they're sort of local) and I can't find one

Ok So I done it and it works great. Did full suss first, Its now:
34t Raceface narrow-wide on front
every think else is full SLX 10spd with the 11-36t cassette.

First ride was muddy, with some XC and some local DH, chain didn't miss a beat.
