Hello all,

After a brief moment of silliness on eBay I'be just picked up a Santa Cruz Bullit frame. I would appreciate any guidance on which way to build it up, and anything I should be looking out for.

Frame looks in good nick and it came with an invoice for a recent shock service, 5th element, and 7" travel.

Thinking along the lines of a heavy hitting trail monster, but not sure if a Bullit might be too much.

Thanks in advance.

I'd build it into a downhill bike. 7inch boxxers, mavic 721's, short stem etc.

Like this one, but make sure you slam the saddle and dont whatever you do put a dual ring chainset on it.

I've been umming and ahhing for when my big bike eventually gives up the ghost, think a Bullit is top of my list.

I'd go for:
Junior Ts
Chris King ISOs on Stans Alpines
Middleburn triple chainset on CK BB
XTR shifters, mechs, chain,cassette
Formula The One brakes, 8"
CK headset, Max-M MX5 bars, lock-on grips, Easton Vice stem
Uppy-downy seatpost of some sort with a Flite SLR
Maxxis Minions
Alligator I-link cables, Goodridge hoses

Think this would be a really good big bike, I like to ride the uplift bits but have something beefy enough to ride down again as fast as I dare.

Cheers guys, I was initially thinking about marzocchi 66's, Fox van 36 or Totems fork wise. But I'm not really sure which way to go with drivetrain etc.

Junior Ts finished in 2006 and are QR.

Alpines are 330g xc race rims.

Triple?

CK for a long fork?

What an odd spec.

I'm barley 10st and can get away with it!
I like a DH bike I can ride to the top.

And not all Junior Ts are QR, took me ages to find a set for my current bike which are.
