I'm wanting to go away for a few days with the missus my dog and my bike.
She wants a quiet camp site with no loud kids. I want to go riding so has anyone got any ideas
I'm based in Bolton n only want a 2hrs ish drive as it's only for weekend
www.meadowfalls.co.uk.
Not adult only but a really good site in Ingleton.
An adult site you say??????
An adult site you say??????
That's the way I read it, as opposed to a site with squawking, noisy ****in brats on it.
( I really do not like children)
Naturist or just no kids, haha?!
I'll think you'll struggle to guarantee it at this time of year.
Perhaps you'd be better off picking a big site where you can at least pitch away from families if you want to?
Not adult only (do they exist?) But we usually just stay out of the honeypot areas if we want a quiet campsite. For example, in the lakes we've stayed somewhere near staveley where as everyone else heads to Windermere, ambleside, Langdale etc. Only a short drive to those areas the next morning and some great mtbing from staveley.
One of those caravan sites near crook has a very small camp area and very strict noise policy
Oddly, every noisy campsite problem I've ever had has been caused exclusively by adults!
As others have said you may struggle to find a no kids site at this time of year but this place is good.
Again, not exclusively adults only but they do their best to deter noisy groups.
I'd love to go to one however I have the noisiest child going!

small sample size I reckon, especially about 6am
I've only been on campsites where the adults have behaved badly at night, I've never had to tell kids to shut up at 1am in the morning
Once on a site where a big bunch of caravanners drew their wagons in a circle so the women could sunbathe and drink undisturbed and then sent their hordes of kids to play in the tent field where their footballs constantly crashed against our tent!
I might start a campsite that's designed exclusively for people who aren't arseholes.

Ah if only such a place existed.

It's called home...you just need a bigger garden.

You won't get much trade via STW then 😉
I also find it's usually the adults who make the most noise
Adult noise I can cope with. Earsplitting shrill shrieking I cannot.
@larrydavid - please add a pub & restaurant chain to your campsite 🙂
Thornbrook Farm is a lovely newly refurb'ed site near Ingleton. We been a few times. It is not adults only but it is very quiet and the owners say to take your kids to the park in town if they want to play footy etc.
It's a great site for caravans, motorhomes and campervans but they don't accept tents.
BTW we were once woken up by screaming kids at 4am in Dunnerdale. It was late June and very bright and their idiot parents were too drunk to keep them amused, so they went batshit mental all over the site waking everyone up.

Why have these people started going to nice places? Shouldn't they be in Blackpool?
That sounds like the worst 'campsite' I've ever heard of. Do they have a locker to check your joy into on entry?

But I am also an arsehole, so that would defeat the point.
My campsite will be for others.
thanks for all the comments, I don't normally use adult only camp sites but as its the middle of the summer holidays I just thought that that would be preferable but hey what do I know?
Perhaps some of you are right I do want to sit on a campsite whilst a mass of kids are running around being loud*
*its what kids do and I am fine with this I did the same. but as I am now longer a kid and I want some piece and quiet 😛
The last time I was at Bainbridge Ings in Hawes it was very quiet. Mind you it was October and raining.
It is quite nice though. Pitches around the outside of a huge field so kids have room to run around without being on top of everyone.
