I have been giving my pub bike a strip down and spring clean. It has this type of brake:

I've removed, cleaned. lubricated and put back on. I've got new pads. How the hell do I adjust the damned things? Having great trouble getting everything lined up, centralised and toed-in.

Make sure the tension screws are wound out to create the least amount of force when setting the blocks, makes that bit much easier. The rest is just faff and fumble til it works right!

Adjust cables so they're equal, make sure pads are aligned to rims then adjust tension screes so both sides move equally.

Thanks all. I found one or two videos already but that Park Tools one is excellent. I don't know why didn't think to look there first. Of course now I want a load of Park Tools!
