I really like that new genesis day 1 cross bike. Particuarly liking the idea of single speed cross (having not quite come last by one place at todays race). however, I can't really get a new bike without replacing one of the current stable. also, I really like my Single speed road bike.... So here's the problem, is there anyway I can get canti posts on the back? Obviously a new fork up front solves that end, but the caliper brakes just seem like magnets for crud. I seem to have a vague image in my head of some kind of bolt on bracket, am i imagining that? is welding the only way? is it worth it or should I just run a caliper and accept that its going to get all crudded up?

Also, tyres for CX; my maxxis raze don't seem to be doing me any favours, are there any batter yres for CX or is that just part of the fun?

Ta!

Or you could sell your SS road bike and just run skinny tyres on the Day 01....

you wont have tyre clearance in a road frame.

also michelin muds are good or panaracer cindercross seems to be in atm

Tyre clearance isn't a problem, its got loads (currently wearing 700x32 slicks with loads more room avaliable). did consider selling the SWOBO and buying the genesis, but i like the SWOBO, and if i was going to change, i might as well just get a frame?
