I'm looking at having a disc brake mounting added to a titanium frame. Anyone got any suggestions as to frame builders/repairers who work with Ti? I'm based in Cornwall, so not expecting to find anyone local.
Everyone I've spoken to so far is booked up for several months, so in the meantime, are those clamp on adaptors (ebay!) safe to use as a stop gap? They look far from ideal, but it would only be getting ridden very gently (by a child).
Have you tried Enigma?
I read somewhere that Enigma were very busy / offering indefinite delivery on frame repairs. Vernon Barker cycles also does Ti repairs / modifications. I'd also ask for a cross-brace between the chain stay and seat stay.
Clamp on adaptor from e bay!
'nuff said.

I actually have an adapter somewhere. Want me to look?
I can confirm that at Enigma we are currently too busy with new frame builds to take on any repairs. Apologies we can't be of assistance. Richard
Vernon Barker looks a good shout. Will try them, thanks.
The clamp on adaptors make me wince. But as it's only a a temp solution for a 5 stone rider, I expect the brakes would lock the back wheel before any great force is imparted on the bracket.
Spoon?
The cost of having a decent job done, against the cost of buying a new kids bike/ frame.

Paul at BTR Fabrications has some titanium experience.
I made my own clamp on one. The hub bolt / qr clamps it in place, plus a second bolt and then jubilee clip just in case / stop it trying to rotate.
