Many moons ago I had one of the original Maverick Speedball dropper posts - early adopter me 😉

The post is long since gone, but I always really liked the remote, and it's been used with a couple of other posts over the years.

one like this.....

It is of the type where the ball end of the remote is at the lever end and the cable clamps at the post, so I couldn't use it with my current post which is the other way around.

But a bit of modding and bob's yer uncle as they say....

Drilled the lever, found a small allen bolt from a handlebar grip end-cap, tapped a suitable thread in the hole, and it now clamps the cable securely at the lever end 🙂 the 13 year old remote rides again.

I was thinking the same for my BrandX post as I have an old Crank Brothers remote the same. The great thing about those designs is you can push and/or pull the lever to actuate. Only thing I need to check is the amount of cable pull required.

I wouldn't even need to mod the lever as the BrandX cable anchors at the post end.

I've used it on an X-Fusion HiLo and a CB Joplin. I imagine it should work with most posts.
