Does anybody have a recent experience of buying online from activesport.co.uk?

I've seen an old thread on here and one on MBR about how bad they were, including comparisons to Dave Hinde.

Are they still the same or have they turned things round?

It took about three months to sort out a warranty claim with them last year. I don't think I'd use them again.

I bought a few bits from them. A couple of bits were out of stock at point of order but they were quick to tell me that and ask what i wanted to do about it. The stuff in stock arrived quickly and the back order items turned up a week earlier than expected.

Ordered a fork from then years ago, it was out of stock but again quick to tell me and give options then they were quick to process the refund i asked for.

still got bad memories of being accused of lying when I went in with a mate and his snapped frame. Wouldn't touch with a barge pole... Really really bad customer service 🙁

I bought some Middleburn cranks from them 3 weeks ago. No problems, although I was a bit nervous until they arrived.

The shop has been updated significantly. Been in there a few times for odd bits and they have always been helpful. Never ordered online tho

I bought a Topeak digital pressure gauge from him a month ago, and a variety of small parts for SRAM over the last two or three years.

Everything has arrived within 48hrs in perfect order, often next day. Small parts have often been OEM in ziploc bag etc but that's fine, I don't need a retail packed hose barb or whatever.

I've seen the bash threads, and to be honest, I think it's a case of Singletrack collectively remembering something bad from years ago and blowing it out of proportion...

I was wondering whether it was another case like Superstar.

The item I want is discontinued anyway but they've sent me a voucher code to get the new model for the same price if I pre-order.

I ordered a load of Fox suspension service bits from them last month and had no problems.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but I don't want anyone to accidently use this company!

Been waiting for a tool from them, didn't turn up so I called the phone number on the receipt "please telephone us on xxx' and was told that they didn't sell on eBay, I had called and shouldn't have (email only) and that I had ordered too late (Wednesday, needed Friday)  to get it within 48 hours even with the 24 postage!? Quite a rude chap all told!

I was told they'd get back to me but they didn't so I emailed again only to get an Out Of Office.

I ordered something from them a couple of months back.  3 weeks it didn't arrive,  I emailed them to state this and it arrived in a couple of days after that.  Clearly the order just sat around till I reminded them.  NO apology, no communication at all

On that basis and on their previous rep I wouldn't use again
