Just booked flights to Malaga for the end of September and now looking for some where to stay. Not in Malaga but down the coast. Two adults and two kids. Close to beach and a pool. Any recommendations?

Fuengirola is canny. Nice mix of brit and english. Sierra cycling is based there, maybe you could fit in a day of guided riding. Theres plenty of stuff on the usual websites like ownersdirect etc.

Agree, Fuengirola is a nice place to stay. Plenty of choice and lots for the kids to do.
No need to get ripped off by the taxis. There is a great coastal train to Fuengirola costing very little.

I have stayed at The PYR in Fuengirola several times, out of season though, it's straight across from the beach, nice and clean and the staff fine.
And +1 to the train, punctual and only 2euros each way

Cercanias train is not so much punctual, it's more a question of frequency. 😆

Currently 3 trains an hour.
PYR good but as a family group I would suggest apartment more suitable.
Plenty of choice end of Sept. and weather still superb.

We stayed in this villalast month. Not near the beach but its only a 20 minute drive to get to one. Lovely villa, if a little quirky, fairly remote and not any good if you're not keen on driving in Spain. We'll be going back.

Thanks for the posts. Fuengirola just seems a bit to busy for us would rather something a little more laid back. Stayed in La cala last time but can't get in to the place we stayed at last time so thought we might try somewhere else. Spent hours on the web last night and got to the point where I could'nt look at one more property, there is just so much out there. just being a bit lazy really in the hope someone on here might have a property out there or stayed somewhere nice.Might try again tonight if I can face it.

If it's laidback you want and it doesnt have to the coast and you dont mind renting a car then I recommend this place, stayed there for a month....
