...own wheels for the first time. Just ordered the parts today. And, before I get started, I thought I would build one of these. Almost finished. Thanks, Roger Musson.
The wheels will go on this thing, my first CX bike. It will be used for both CX and road/training.
I built one of those from his book and built my first wheel on it. Much cheapness and ideal for the job.
Good luck. I've built three on that book now and have yet to kill anyone.
The hardest part for me was balancing even tension with true. One invariably would knock the other out.
Been riding my Flow Ex on Nukeproof hub for about a month or so now and just stuck it back in the jig for a check. It was still pretty good but the tension was slightly uneven.
Nice and easy to remedy now 🙂
Thanks. Yah...tensioning is my biggest fear. We'll see.
Is that your garage or place of work just?

justaute - great book.
Patience is key. Take your time and do it step by step. I've built 5 wheels now using this book. 🙂
Go and ride it. After a few rides put it back in the stands and check/true as necessary
