On a Spesh Enduro I think.
As mentioned in the comments, it's not really a 'real' downhill track... and gwinnie could probably win it on a bmx.
Dear God.... Make it stop.. 😕
Jared Graves won the Sea Otter DH on his 4X bike a few years back. Says a lot about the track...
Indeed....
But I expect it'll still be used for bigging up big wheels.
Read the article.
He won it on a 26" wheel'd bike.
edit...damn damn damn damn.
Despite reports to the contrary, Gwin was aboard a 26" wheeled bike, although he was spotted practicing aboard an Enduro 29er.
Care to change the title?
Thats cheating
looking at that pic, I reckon he's on 700c, 23s
I believe the British mtb Orienteering champs ride 29ers.
He'd ride your granny on that course if his sponsors told him to, it's his job after all.
*edit due to crap spelling 😳
Lopes was on a Ibis ripley and came 9th, I wonder how stock it was...
Lopes was on a ripley and came 9th, I wonder how [s]stock it was..[/s] much Ibis are desperate to shift their 29ers, seeing as they only just launched it as the new nichewagon is taking off....
Naaah, that's all bollx. He was on the latest must-have marketing shite: a disc-braked road bike.
Sick Mick was 0.02 back on a polygon - heard of those? Jill Kitchner won the womens on 650 what shall we all do??
To be honest I'm surprised he picked the 29" for that course. Just shows they can win anywhere.

Eh? I read the article I linked to and it says this at the top...
Gwin snagged the top spot in the pro men's field on a Specialized Enduro 29er, narrowly beating Mick Hannah
Big wheels keep on turning, and this time they took Gwin to the top spot on the podium.
I'm missing the 26" bit clearly, and just repeating the Pinkbike headline..
It's just a bit too much for the haters to believe I think. This will be the start of many such instances IMO.
Steve Peat came second in the dual slalom on his Bronson.
Whilst i really couldn't give two hoots what size wheels Gwin won on, it does look like a 29er on the latest set of pics on PB. It's funny watching how people get worked up by it though.
looks like he was racing up the course with those gears
His hand looks like he was in an industrial accident. How does he ride with only a thumb and his little finger on the right hand. Fantastic.

Never mind the bike, this just reaffirms that Peaty is a legend.
But how about Manuel Beastly?
on a $200 fatbike

I love how wound up people get over wheel size.
Beavis and butthead to the right of the fatbike says it all ;OP
and I expect to see you trailing a log behind your fatbike next time you visit!
