Anyone know if you can get through the road closure near Kelston on a bike?

I heard someone say you could but have not ventured along there.

Thanks Count. Blimey, that is grim reading!! Possibly shut for 6 months. Thankfully I cycle to Bath most days but have to take the car at least one or two.

I feel sorry for the pubs and the shop in Bitton who will really struggle.

Must make a point to go to the pubs more often to support them (!!!)

Any excuse, eh? 😉
What chance BANES gives business rates and suchlike a relief period during this closure?

I am sure BANES will find some way to kick them in the teeth a bit more!

I will try to make a point of using the shop when I can (I am the Bristol side of the closure). They are a really nice bunch in there and I am sure that the bulk of their trade is from passing customers.

I have organised a night out in the Crown a week Thursday as well().

I am hoping that the 6 months is the chronicle's usual nonsense and that the road will be open in weeks instead of months.

If anyone fancies a (virtually) car free ride on the way to Bath, the council have installed a path to bypass the shut section of road. It says 'pedestrians' so you must walk it 😀 ( to avoid the hoards of pedestrians that normally use this road).
